Like so many not for profit groups we run on very limited funds. All of our helpers are volunteers, we have no paid staff.
We welcome all donations however small or large.
Just so you have an idea of why we are asking, the following are the types of things we need to cover the costs for:
$625 - for our website domain name and hosting costs for a year.
$460 - for contact cards to hand out to people.
$1,000 - to hire meeting rooms for public meetings.
If you are able to set up a regular payment, that would be fantastic, but one off donations are also very welcome.

Donate to our Legal Fund for the NPDC Water CCO
Over the last month we have been investigating and evaluating information regarding the appointment of the new Water CCO Board and new Water CCO Chief Executive. (CCO means Council Controlled Organisation)
Based on the legal advice we have received we think there are questions that need to be answered about how these appointments were handled. The Alliance Team has made a decision to take on a legal challenge about this situation.
If you were concerned about how this appointment took place we are going to need your help to raise funds for legal costs. We have already received some generous support, to get us started, but legal action is pretty expensive and we need as much help as our supporters can offer.
We have set up a dedicated bank account for Legal Fund donations.

Many people across New Plymouth were very surprised to find an appointment had been made for the Chief Executive of the new Water CCO, and a lot of people were quite concerned the person who had been appointed was such a surprise. If you were one of those concerned people, please give what you can to our legal fund.
If you know others who might like to help us raise these funds, please tell them about this campaign.
Become a Financial Member
We have recently offered an option of Financial Membership with the NP Ratepayers Alliance.
The cost is $25 a year, per person.
A membership year runs from 1st July to 30th June
We hope to offer more options at a later time, but a benefit of Financial Membership this year is a Reserved Seat when we have a public meeting.
A condition of this option is that we need to be able to e-mail you an invitation to a public meeting, so we will need your e-mail address.

Help Us By Telling Others About Us
We’ve attached a flyer which tells people a little bit about who we are. (Click on the Download Flyer Link Below).
If you have access to a printer, would you like to print this off, cut between the contact info tags at the bottom, and take this to places where you spend your time. If people like the message, they can tear off a tag at the bottom, so they can visit our website or Facebook page.
The places to leave the flyers might be the gym, hobby classes, exercise classes, businesses where you shop, family gatherings, coffees with friends, your workplace (check first with your boss), anywhere you might be comfortable to tell people about our group.
Please always ask permission of the property owner at any place you would like to leave the flyers.
This will really help to spread the word, if you are comfortable to help us out with this.

We have one off things we need help with, or you may be interested in helping with something more frequently.

- Helping at events

- Or another area of expertise you could offer
