Update about our Ombudsman complaint - and our legal activity with the Water CCO.

We just wanted to let you know things are still moving along with the Ombudsman and our Water CCO legal activity.

We can’t say much, but we wanted to let you know the team is still busy regarding these complaints.

People may remember we wrote to the Ombudsman on 10th October, many supporters also wrote, and we all received a fairly generic letter back. The Alliance took the opportunity to ask more questions, which led to an investigator from the Ombudsman’s office being assigned to us in early December.

We have had a great deal of difficulty getting information supplied with LGOIMA’s (the Local Government term for OIA’s), particularly internal documents, and mostly relating to the Water CCO.

With the help of an investigator contacting the NPDC we have received a significant amount of information. 40 working days after lodging our first OIA about the Water CCO we have received the type of information we were expecting to get in early November.

Xmas is a few weeks away so the team won’t be doing much with this information until the New Year.

As we have said before, we have a plan of what we are trying to achieve and this information is very useful. We will update you again when we can share more.

This is a journey that is going to require a great deal of patience.
