We just wanted to mention the Permanent CEO Position for the New Plymouth Water Company has been advertised on Seek.

Applications close for this role on 10th May.

People may recall what a huge surprise it was to find an Interim CEO position for the Water CCO would report to the NPDC CEO and not the Interim Board of the Water CCO.  And what a huge surprise it was that Neil Holdom had been offered this position.

If you do not like surprises from your senior officials at the NPDC, and you prefer open and transparent communication, this week is your last chance to have your say about the appointment for the Permanent CEO position for the Water CCO.

Our poll and petition close at midnight on Friday 1st May.

We’ve attached a copy of:

• The ad on Seek and
• A refreshed copy of our timeline of events with the appointment of the Interim CEO position in 2025.

Our shortened timeline is a reminder of how things were handled with public consultation with the new Water Company, and the events surrounding Neil Holdom as Mayor of New Plymouth, who was also applying for the Interim CEO position with the Water Company.

If you know other people who may have concerns about who the Permanent CEO of the Water Company will be, you may like to tell them about our poll and petition and check if they would also like to sign.

The NP Ratepayers Alliance will present the result of the Poll and Petition to the NPDC. The more signatures we receive the more success we will have with the next steps the NPDC can take about this permanent role.
