A new society in Taranaki is attempting to get a court injunction to halt the sale of the TSB Bank. Are you able to help ? (Part One)
We have been approached by a new society in Taranaki, where one of their first actions is attempting to get a court injunction to halt the sale of the TSB Bank.
They are the Taranaki Community Accountability Society with
- Elaine Gill, a former TSB Bank Chair, is their Secretary, and
- Kevin Landrigan, a Chartered Accountant & Fellow of the Australian Society of Chartered Accountants, is their Treasurer.
They have asked if we could help to get their message out.
Should the sale of the bank go through it will be irreversible. This group has already engaged lawyers with a plan to try to present in court why the sale of the bank is not a good outcome for Taranaki, and anomalies with how the sale process has been handled.
They need to raise a considerable amount to get this to court. They have costed what they need to do and are asking the community to donate – their flyer is attached.
This is a lot of money – but the TSB has a lot of customers who are not happy. If just 6,000 of those customers could spare $10 – this would raise the funds needed. Any amount donated, however small, will help.
We know a lot of people are concerned about the changes to the Toi Foundation and the plans to sell the TSB. Please help get this case to court if you can.
